- Does Rwanda Convention Association represent the Rwandan Diaspora?
RCA is a private initiative that is apolitical non-profit organization under section 501 (c) (3). We are not a representative of the Rwandan Diaspora, but work with and support the Rwandan associations within the Diaspora, different businesses, and initiatives by Friends of Rwanda associations to aid in the development of Rwanda economically and socially.
- How does one get involved?
RCA is an organization that organizes annual events that unites Rwandans and Friends of Rwanda to sponsor networking, projects, and initiatives that promotes Rwandan development. If you would like RCA to come to your town, RCA will work in collaboration with organizations and individuals to host events to promote development within the Rwandan communities, as well as, event that are in the promotion of Rwanda development economically and socially.
- What if I need a visa to attend an event in the US or Canada?
In order to receive a letter of invitation from our organization, we first require registration for the event you choose to attend. Letters of invitation will be provided to the Embassy directly and a copy via mail. NO REFUNDS will be provided for individuals who do not receive visas from any Embassy representing a nation where the event is taking place.
- How do I receive a tax-exempt receipt or letter?
Upon registration or donations to the organization RCA is able to provide a tax-exempt receipt and letter for organizations in the U.S. who have donated or registered. Please send an email to our organization at treasurer@rwandaconvention.org with address where you would like the letter to be received.
